Custom Dice Trays for Hexingtide

Last year, Hexingtide moved from having a set of three dice attributes down to a single one called "Inhumanity." This is been a pretty great change for gameplay, to be honest: choose a die size for your character, and you don't have to ask any further questions about what dice to roll in a given situation. It's always that one.

Along with this change is my personal GMing style that is pretty lo-fi: no painted minis, no extravagant terrain set pieces, and no need in Hexingtide's rules for a precisely measured or gridded battle map.

In 2022 I create a custom dice tower for Hexingtide... and then rules evolved to be all player facing (sad trombone noises). So I thought it was time to do some tabletop arts and crafts that would lend some visual touchpoints to the game's gothic monster theme.

After letting this project linger for the past few months (as Hexingtide, itself, was on the backburner for most of 2023). But the start of development on the rules, once again, and my kickoff of a new Hexingtide campaign with my home group meant it was time to finish these dice trays.

Thought I'd share them here, with other folks interested in the progress of the game.

These trays were built on layers of ePVC with various spooky and Haloween-appropriate miniatures sourced from all over.
